A good story can be a a plus.... but honestly I want "games". To many game makers I swear think they are movie makers these days or something.
A game can be pretty, can have a good story, but if the game isn't actually compelling to play then dude just make an animated movie or something cause what is the point half the time. I think some of these critically acclaimed games [just talking in general here] are almost "slightly interactive movie experiences" over games.
I agree with Dan on the blue coins not Abby. It kinda misses the point to use those as some "out" for the tough stuff... that stuff is gonna be the best content of the series man! I wanna see them suffer through it LOL! Those coins should just be worthless other than "hey here is an extra HP point or a save point"
I think the thing with this game is once you get the terrible terrible controls to muscle memory, the game actually plays really really awesome.... but man that is a long hill to climb to get there. Oh what I would give for a version of this game with hacked controls that allow you to change them. If control options existed this game would have been seriously much more well regarded I believe.
I think the thing with the controls is once they insane control scheme they have finally clicks in your head, you actually DO have crazy fun mobility and platforming in this game. The problem is the base controls are just so wild it takes a long time to get there.
Once you actually somehow manage to get the crazy controls into muscle memory, the mobility and platforming is really good in it.....but yeah those controls are really really bad in a way to get used to.
I think the thing this game changed about the first one [for the better] was the absurd save system the first game had. That thing was MESSED UP. Looks like they just let you save anywhere now in the first one.
