This isn't really explained in the anime, and even then I don't think until the Dragonball Super Manga, but the reason Vegeta can't just keep getting hurt and reviving is that is less effective every time it happens basically. It just scales poorly the more it is done.
"Several More Minutes."... Lol they don't know how time works in DBZ. Wait till they see 5 minutes... I think the original Frieza fight was like 4 and a half hours? I may have looked that up wrong but it was crazy haha. Much shorter here but "5 minutes" sure isn't five minutes XD
Bit bummed though, next set of episodes is one episode short of my favorite thing about Vegeta. That episode builds his character very well. Oh and then a few episodes later doesn't he show up in Goku's mind completely naked from the afterlife to give him a pep talk?
Maybe this is just changed memories, but having watched through Kai my only "real" sad part of that vs Z [even though I prefer regular Z for all the extra stuff in it] was how little The Ginyu force was in Kai. It felt like 2 episodes and they were all defeated or something. Weren't they like a whole saga in original Z? I feel you miss out on a lot of their great personality due to that but oh well. Other than them my one worry with Kai was that all the epic long stuff would be over too soon wasn't too true. Even though I would have liked the full 4 hour+ frieza fight :P just cause it was so stupid long it was hilarious almost. But yeah, other than Ginyu lasting like an episode or two [other than captain since he lasts into Dragonball Super] was my one disappointment with Kai.
Look I personally prefer the original dragonball z but let's face it, they would cancel this podcast if they had to watch that many episodes. Kai suits their purposes better. Also we get it just ignore the comments we don't need to hear about how you are only watching Kai every episode :P
I never quite got the Mr. Popo being that racist thing. Like I always thought he was just some sort of weird alien. The reason is through original Dragonball there existed other "black" characters who were NOT done in this considered racist way I felt but maybe I am dumb. So it isn't like that is just how they draw "black" characters, and he seems more alien-like than just some human, and then with as weird as these characters are in this show, why can't there be a character with pure black skin? That seems silly. I get the history of this stuff but I really don't think this one makes sense.
Anyway, if you can get past his skin color, Mr. Popo is a character I actually like.
