Having formerly worked at Blue 52 as a Senior Artist and at Liquid Development as a freelance artist, William Smith is currently working at Rocksteady Studios. Being a UK professional with connections to Eidos, who published Batman: Arkham Asylum, there is a distinct possibility that William Smith is in fact the source of the generic name W. Smith for UK athletes in U.S. Gold's (later bought by Eidos) official Olympic game of 1992, Olympic Gold '92. He shares this with former U.S. Gold co-worker Doug Anderson (Person), if so.
