Tappy Iwase
Tappi “Tappy” Iwase is a Japanese composer most notable for composing the main theme for the Metal Gear Solid series.
Controversy
Tappy's most famous musical piece, the recurring theme song for the Metal Gear Solid series was noticed to share similarities with a 1979 song 'Pushkin's Garland' by Russian classical composer George Sviridov. These claims of plagiarism were denied by Tappy himself, but as a result of mounting pressure from Konami, the iconic theme song was omitted from Metal Gear Solid 4.
