Jonne Valtonen

Jonne Valtonen, also known as Purple Motion, is a Finnish composer, arranger and orchestrator.


Between 1991 and 1996 he was one of the most well known musicians of the demoscene group Future Crew, who later split into Remedy Entertainment, Bugbear Entertainment and FutureMarkas the members got into game development. Jonne Valtonen and fellow Future Crew musician, Peter Hajba (Person) scored most of Remedy's early games. As part of the Future Crew he wrote over a hundred songs, appearing in notable demos such as Unreal (no relation to Epic's game) and Second Reality, as well as the Journey and Chaotic Minds musicdisks. In 2004 he released the compilation album Musicdisk, featuring remastered versions of some of his most well known songs from the demoscene era. Today he works with several orchestras and game publishers to orchestrate soundtracks for live performances. He is also a composer of contemporary classical music and have composed the music for several Finnish theater performances.
