 Originally a laser tag game in Japan in the early 80s, Sega decided to expand on the Zillion concept and craft it into a successful anime and manga series.

  According to the fiction, a mysterious alien race built 3 powerful laser guns. The White Knights utilize the Zillion Lasers to defend the universe against the evil Norsa Empire.   In 1987, Sega decided to take the successful franchise to the videogame world - with Zillion and Zillion 2: The Triformation. Sega also modeled the Sega Master System Light Phaser from the Zillion Laser.
