A main battle tank developed by the Russian machine building company Uralvagonzavod.
The T-90 is a modernized T-72 main battle tank that has a 125mm smooth-bore tank gun. Smooth-bore refers to a barrel that does not have rifling, the helical groves. In addition to the new main gun the T-90 has a new engine, thermal sights, armor upgrades, and a variety of countermeasures.
