Description

 Most games who have this kind of missile strive for futurism, however since it exists (Starstreak missile is a real one) some games with realism will shortly have them as well. Split missiles / rockets can be intended for striking a single target or multiple targets (in this case they are launched by multi lock missile launchers in the case of a missile launcher) or having a wider area of effect. When these missiles are used on a single target it's often to increase the hit probability of the weapon by allowing few missiles to hit and counteract  jamming systems such as counter measures
