Smith & Wesson Model 29

A six-shot, double-action revolver. It is chambered for the .44 Magnum cartridge.


The S&W 29 was made famous by Clint Eastwood's "Dirty Harry" character.  It is chambered in .44 Magnum and holds 6 rounds in it's cylinder.  It was produced with a wide variety of barrel lengths from 4" to 10.5".  It will also fire .44 Special rounds, since they are derived from .44 Magnum.  There have been many variants of this revolver over the years.  It was originally produced in 1955.
