Mirror Shield
A shield with a reflective cover which is used for deflecting magical attacks or bouncing beams of light. The first appearance of a shield such as this is Athena's Shield in the myth of Perseus.

Many games have incorporated the idea of a reflective shield into their characters inventory. However the original reflective shield was wielded by Perseus in the battle against Medusa where he used it to reflect her gaze so that she turned herself into stone, as part of a trial for Athena (Character). Later he cut off her head and from the blood Pegasus was born.
In the Legend of Zelda franchise, it can be obtained in The Ocarina of Time, The Wind Waker, Links Awakening, Minish Cap, Majora's Mask, and A Link to the Past.
In the God of War (Franchise) franchise, it is also used in many different puzzles and for a time Kratos (Character) actually wields the shield after having killed Perseus.
