Overview
The Mini Mushroom is a special mushroom that shrinks the player down to an extremely small size, opposite the typical effect of mushrooms in Mario games. It first appeared in Mario Party 4 (Game), where it would make the player tiny, and reduced the die they rolled from 10 sides to only five. While mini, the player could also access special Mini Mini games. The Mini Mushroom appeared again as a special item in New Super Mario Bros. (Game). In NSMB, the Mini Mushroom let Mario make higher, floatier jumps, run on water, and enter mini pipes that opened access to special areas of the game.
