The Magic Paintbrush is a weapon used by Bowser Jr. in Super Mario Sunshine. The Koopa used the brush to paint graffiti all over Isle Delfino while disguised as Shadow Mario.
Overview
The Magic Paintbrush was the main instrument in Bowser Jr. (Character).'s plot to kidnap Princess Peach (Character) in Super Mario Sunshine (Game). After using it to cover Isle Delfino (Location) with goop and graffiti, Bowser Jr. pinned the blame on Mario (Character) by disguising himself as him, who was forced to serve out a sentence of community service. While Mario was cleaning up the mess, Bowser Jr. proceeded to kidnap Princess Peach. . It is directly inferred that the Magic Paintbrush was created by Professor E. Gadd. when Bowser Jr. says that he received the brush from an "old man in a white coat". The brush also features the E. Gadd logo on the handle, as does F.L.U.D.D. It is unclear exactly how Bowser Jr. got the weapon, and when. It is possible that E. Gadd gave Bowser Jr. the brush for some reason, and it is also plausible that Bowser Jr. stole the brush from E. Gadd. Either way, once Bowser Jr. gained possession of the Brush, he began to coat Isle Delfino with Graffiti disguised as Mario. After the final battle with Mario on Corona Mountain (Location), Bowser Jr. dropped the Paintbrush and Il Piantissimo found it on a beach. This leads to the possibility that Il Piantissimo is now Shadow Mario, who was a playable character in Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour.
