The M-98 Widow is a sniper rifle from Mass Effect 2. It is unlocked if the player chooses the sniper rifle upgrade on the Collector Ship. It returns in Mass Effect 3 where it can be found on the Asari home world of Thessia.
Overview
The M-98 Widow is the hardest hitting sniper rifle in Mass Effect 2. It is available to Commander Shepard if the player chooses the sniper rifle upgrade on the Collector Ship. In Mass Effect 3 (Game), it can be found during Priority: Thessia next to an Asari (Concept) sniper.
Stats
The M-98 Widow has a 12 rounds, and 1 round per clip. Through player driven tests, it has been determined that it has a base DPS of 156 damage per second. According to an official post on the Bioware forums, it does 1.5 extra damage to armor. This makes it an effective weapon during missions in which enemies have a lot of armor (such as Krogans).
