The M-92 Mantis is the default sniper rifle in Mass Effect 2. It is available to the player once they start the Freedom's Progress mission.

==Stats == The M-92 Mantis has a 9 rounds, and 1 rounds per clip (before upgrades). Through player driven tests, It has been determined that it has a a base DPS of 112 damage per second. According to an official post on the Bioware forums. it does 1.5 extra damage to armor. This makes it an effective weapon against enemies who have high armor (such as Krogans).
