This is a submachine gun in Mass Effect 2. It is unlocked during "The Stolen Memory" DLC mission.

==Overview == The M-12 Locust was introduced to Mass Effect 2 with "The Stolen Memory" DLC That also included character Kasumi Goto. It is obtainable about halfway through Kasumi's loyalty mission. Despite having a smaller clip, and overall less damage than the M-9 Tempest, it is one of the most accurate weapons in the game.

==Stats == The M-12 Locust has a 240 rounds, and 20 rounds per clip (before upgrades). Through player driven tests, It has been determined that it has a a base DPS of 136 damage per second. According to an official post on the Bioware forums. it does 1.25 extra damage to armor, shields, and barriers. This makes it an effective weapon in all missions during the game.

==Absence From New Game == Unlike other weapons in Mass Effect 2, the M-12 Locust does not currently transfer to a new game playthrough of a previously played Mass Effect 2 character.
