Description
The M202 FLASH is a four-tube Thermobaric rocket launcher, essentially throwing napalm at the enemy. It is filled with four 66mm incendiary rockets, the same caliber as the anti-tankM72 LAW (Object). The M202 FLASH is perhaps most famous as the rocket launcher used by Arnold Schwarzenegger's character, John Matrix, in the 1985 action movie Commando.
In Games
Games with this weapon often use a high explosive rocket or even a guided missile instead of its actual ammunition; while inauthentic, this often makes it a more powerful and versatile rocket launcher.
Some games only use its general shape, or a modernized design in titles such as Far Cry (Game) and Soldier of Fortune.
In Soldier of Fortune, the M202 A2 is an explosive and anti tank weapon.
The weapon is able to fire one round at a time or all the rockets at once.
In Far Cry, the weapon is named the RLX 9157.
It can launch one rocket per second, using clips of 4 at a time, comes with a mounted scope for sighting.
In some James Bond games the launcher is called AT 420 Sentinel; in Nightfire, the weapon can launch inaccurate rockets and the secondary function is a player-guided missile.
