Light Cycle
A fictional transport that exists within the computer world of the Tron universe. It leaves a trail of light in its wake that can destroy other light cycles that collide with it.
Overview
Light cycles are motorcycle-like vehicles that exist in the movies Tron and Tron: Legacy, as well as the games based on the films. In the computer world, they are used in the Game Grid (Location) in a competition that plays out like a deadly game of Snake. Each competitor rides their light cycle around the arena, tracing a wall of light as they move, and attempt to force the opposition into colliding with the light wall. The original light cycles were limited in that they could only turn left or right at ninety degree angles. Later versions, such as those seen in Tron: Evolution have a turning range equivalent to a standard motorcycle.
