Insanity Catalyst is a weapon in the PS3 video game Demon's Souls.
Insanity Catalyst is a weapon crafted by Blacksmith Ed (Character) with a 0 wooden or silver catalyst, in combination with the Yellow Demon's Soul found by defeating Old Monk (Character). While the benefit to spellcasters is a special boost in hit power, at the expense of half of the users MP, it's still considered a great choice in earlier stages of leveling. The weapon does eventually lack the hit power effectiveness, and practicality of a full mana bar seen from a maxed out magic and faith stat in the Talisman of Beasts.
