A Forerunner artifact that converts organics into synthetics.
During the Forerunner-Flood war, the Didact had a new form and it disfigured him. He used the composer to digitize his comrades from infection. Since the war still raged, the Didact went to Omega Halo and converted humans. The Didact was sealed in his Cryptum in Requiem until 2557.
