Blades of Athena
Given to Kratos by Athena after he destroyed the God of War, Ares. These are Kratos' main weapons after becoming a God himself.
Kratos wielding the Blades of Athena
After defeating the God of War, Ares, with the Blades of Chaos (Object), he becomes the new God of War. With this new title, Kratos (Character) is also granted a new weapon, The Blades of Athena. These blades emits a strong yellow aura and have a shining golden color, when wielded by a god. However, when Kratos drains all his godly power into the Blade of Olympus, the blades return to their normal look, with a basic steel color and a faint yellow aura. But as Kratos travels through his journey in God of War II (Game), and he regains some of his former power, the Blades of Athena slowly return to their Godly look, with the fiery golden aura emitting from it again. Kratos still have these weapons in the beginning of God of War III (Game), they are however destroyed by when he falls into the River Styx. Afterwards, the ghost of Athena (Character) takes the remains and turn them into the Blades of Exile (Object).
