Advanced Tactical Fighter

The Advanced Tactical Fighter or ATF Project was an USAF program conducted between 1981 and 1991 to development a new air superiority fighter. In 1991 the YF-22 design was selected and became the F-22 Raptor.

One of the most famous designs was made publicly available in 1986 in a conceptual drawing, which became the basis for the ATF designs for the games F29 Retaliator (Game), ATF, ATF IIand Stealth ATF (Game). F29 and ATF went as far as featuring the image on their title screens.
