The Scarlet Devil Mansion is the large European-style home of Remilia and Flandre Scarlet (Character) in Gensokyo (Location). It's main features are the small number of windows (to keep the light out) and a clock tower that only rings at night. The witch Patchouli Knowledge (Character), a long-time friend of Remilia, resides in the library and acts as a librarian and scholar. Additionally, it houses a large number of maids that live and work in the mansion, their responsibilities comprise of cooking, cleaning and guarding the premises. The more notable attendants include:
- Sakuya Izayoi (Character) – Remilia's personal attendant and the leader of the maids
- Hong Meiling (Character) – the leader of the outer guard
It is featured prominently during The Embodiment of Scarlet Devil, with several stages taking place inside and out of the mansion.
