A colony planet in the Galactic Federation on which a very young Samus Aran lived with her parents. The colony was destroyed in a Space Pirate attack in which Samus was the only survivor.

K-2L is a little seen planet within the Galactic Federation (Concept) of the Metroid (Franchise) universe. It served as the home of a mining colony on which Samus Aran's parents were stationed, and where Samus herself called home. However, a space pirate attack led by Ridley (Character) led to the destruction of the entire colony and the deaths of most of its residents. Samus, then three years old, is the only known survivor.
