Many important conversations occur here in the various Phoenix Wright games. While the defendant and Phoenix or Apollo are waiting for the trail to begin, they talk here about the case. There is often precious little time to get information out of the defendant while they wait, and Phoenix/Apollo usually leaves for the courtroom confused or even completely uninformed about the client and their case.
The defendant lobby is also where the celebratory talks take place after a case is won.
