The Badlands is a region in Khaz Modan. To its north is Loch Modan, to its west is Searing Gorge, and to its south is Burning Steppes. This is a level 44-48 region.

As of the Sundering, Badlands has been separated Loch Modan by a deep, nearly impossible to cross gorge. In addition, Deathwing has left a huge burnt swath across the middle of the zone. However, much of the zone is still as the denizens of Azeroth will remember it. Ogres to the southwest. Dark iron dwarves outside of Uldaman in the north. Dragonkin in the valley to the east. A new (neutral) goblin town has popped up on the eastern side of the zone called Fuselight.
