The third arcade street racing game based on the Wangan Midnight manga, adding four-player support and new modes, vehicles, and courses.
Overview
Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 2 is a street racing game developed by Polygon Magic and released by Namco for arcades (using Xbox-based Sega Chihiro (Concept) hardware) on April 21, 2005. The sequel to the original Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune (Game), Maximum Tune 2 revamps the Story mode while adding a new "10 Out-Run" mode (where players race to overtake AI opponents one-by-one), new vehicles, new courses and course variations, and the option to link two cabinets together for four-player multiplayer. A minor update was released on October 23, 2005, sub-titled "Maximum Tune 2 Ver.B".
