Overview

Utopia Must Fall is an arcade shooter developed and published by Pixeljam Games. The game involves players protecting a future metropolis from alien invaders.

Similar to Space Invaders and Missile Command, players control a fixed turret that shoots up into the sky, fending off attacks by invading alien spacecraft; they also have a limited stock of nuclear missiles that they can fire at enemies. Enemy assaults come in daily waves; at the end of each day players can upgrade the turret's weapon, improving its fire rate or projectile power. They can also research new technologies to unlock various secondary abilities such as a protective shield around the city, laser towers, attack drones or the means to produce more missiles. A game over results once an unprotected city is hit.
