Overview

The Riddle of the Maze is a point-and-click puzzle-adventure game developed by Fathom Pictures, Inc. and InterOptica Publishing Ltd. and published by Interplay Productions, Inc. for Macintosh computers in 1994. It is a video game adaptation of Christopher Manson's 1980's children's book Maze: Solve the World's Most Challenging Puzzle, in which readers are tasked with moving from room to room of a labyrinthian house by flipping through the book to certain pages (the numbers of which are found on doors in each picture), with the goal to find the riddle in Room 45. Along with updated graphics and point-and-click interface, the game features voice acting. The game was originally planned to release for the CD-i, and a prototype was later found.
