Overview
The Flame in the Flood is an isometric roguelike adventure survival game with procedurally-generated environments and rivers.
The game is available through Steam Early Access. It is officially released on PC and Xbox One as of September 24, 2015.
Characters
Scout
A lone wanderer schooled in wilderness survival. She's seen a bit of everything as she's come of age, and knows how to deal with the challenges of staying alive in a land that isn't interested in helping.
Aesop
Scout's doggy companion and beast of burden. He has no offensive abilities and is more of a pack mule. He can carry supplies, call out clues and warnings, and generally help players navigate the wilderness.
Helen Cockrow
Helen is a resident of a secluded farm that never had much contact with the civilized world even prior to the disastrous flood, and doesn't care much to regain contact now that its all gone south.
Flimflam
A shady salesman willing to let others do the hard and dangerous work. Looking for the next sucker survivor to come along.
Feral Children
A pair of children who pay-it-forward in hopes that you, too, will be come a "back watcher" and make life easier and nicer after the disaster.
Cocteau
A gravedigger willing to share some of his ill-gotten gains. Probably French.
