Overview

Talisman: Digital Edition is a high-fantasy virtual board game developed by Nomad Games (Company) and published digitally by Asmodee Digital (later Nomad Games themselves) for the PC (Platform) on February 25, 2014, with an early access release on October 14, 2013. It later received Mac (Platform) support on January 13, 2015, and was later made free-to-play on May 23, 2024. The second of Nomad Games's adaptations of the fantasy-themed board game Talisman, after the single-player focused Talisman Prologue (Game), Talisman: Digital Edition brings back the traditional multiplayer focus where up to six players, online and offline, can take control of one of several generic fantasy characters as they travel around the board to find Talisman cards in order to reach the Crown of Command at the board's center. Like Prologue, it uses the rules of the revised 4th Edition. It also received a release for iOS and Android (Platform) devices on August 4, 2014 and for the PlayStation 4 (Platform) and PlayStation Vita (Platform) on March 7, 2017, with a Nintendo Switch (Platform) release on March 9, 2020 and both a Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One (Platform) release on June 3, 2021. It also received some spin-offs, including the Warhammer 40,000 spin-off Talisman: The Horus Heresy, the single-player story-based spin-off Talisman: Origins. A sequel, known as Talisman: Digital 5th Edition, is in development.
