A horizontal scrolling shoot'em up written by Paul Curtis and published by The Edge for the ZX Spectrum.

Overview

Written by Paul Curtis and published in 1984 for the ZX Spectrum by The Edge (Company) this horizontal scrolling shoot'em up is very similar to Lunar Jetman (Game). For voice sounds Currah MicroSpeech is applied, which is a speech synthesis box using the SP0256-AL2 speech processor to output sound via the TV.

Starbike was also released on many compilations like the "All-Stars" or the "Classix 1" compilation, both published by The Edge. It also appeared in 1985 on the "Soft Aid" compilation which was produced by Quicksilva Ltd. in collaboration with Bob Geldof's Band-Aid Trust as one of the efforts to raise money for the starving children of Africa.

In 2009 a Starbike remake was written for PC's by Dr. Bacon and can be free downloaded on the developers [https:/starbike.wordpress.com website].
