A top-down 4X space empire game with real-time combat and samurai space bears, also featuring extremely customizable ship design.
StarDrive is a 4X action strategy game primarily inspired by Master of Orion II and Escape Velocity (Game). The developer, Zer0Sum Games (aka Daniel DiCicco) funded it in part with a Kickstarter campaign in 2011, which asked for $7,500 and ultimately received $17,676. It uses the Sunburn XNA Engine built by Synapse Gaming.
