Overview

Snow Wave: Avalanche, sometimes known as Snowboard Racer or Tignes Snow Wave, is a snowboarding game developed by Hammer Technologies (Company) and released through numerous publishers worldwide for Windows PCs in 1998-1999. Developed by the Spanish studio Hammer Technologies, Snow Wave is a standard arcade-style snowboard racing game with four modes (Boardercross, Big Jump, Big Jump Races, and Xtreme Tour). In North America, the game received an updated release from HeadGames Publishing in 1999 as Extreme Winter Sports, released as part of their Extreme (Franchise) line and featuring a revamped menu system and the option for both snowmobiling and skiing. HeadGames's successor, Activision Value Publishing, later released the original version in 2000 as a tie-in with both the Tech Deck (Franchise) toy line of fingerboards and the World Industries line of snowboards. Known as Tech Deck Snowboarding: The PC Video Game featuring World Industries (or Tech Deck Snowboard), this version features a set of toy fingersnowboards in the retail packaging.
