RITE features high quality smooth pixel art animation, fluid yet simple controls, and an excellent soundtrack that is both soothing and high energy. Focusing on completing precision-platforming trials set in several single-screen rooms, it provides a strong challenge with no unfair surprises. The game includes 128 levels spread out among 4 worlds: Rite of the Forest, Rite of the Desert, Rite of the Tundra, and Rite of the Mountain. There is also a bonus world accessed by collecting all of the coins in the other levels, bringing the total level count to 160.
