Psyvariar Delta is a sci-fi vertical-scrolling shoot-'em-up developed and digitally published by City Connection (Company) for the PlayStation 4 (Platform) and Nintendo Switch (Platform) in Japan on August 30, 2018. It was later released worldwide for the PC (Platform) on January 30, 2019, followed by a worldwide release for the Switch (by Dispatch Games (Company)) on July 11, 2019. A revamped version of Success's game Psyvariar: Medium Unit (and its Revision update), Psyvariar Delta features high-definition graphics and an enhanced widescreen UI (showing in-depth statistics, such as boss health and experience gauge) along with new game modes (such as a customizable practice mode and a competitive one-credit Score Attack mode). Players can choose from three game versions: (the original "Medium Unit", the updated "Revision", and a new "Delta"), each with their corresponding stage progression and stage changes. In addition, players can choose which of the two's gameplay mechanics to use by choosing their ship (AXION-μ for the original and AXION-R for the update). The game includes a bonus guest ship (which was DLC in earlier versions), adding the CYX-0017 Blanche mech (and its corresponding play style) from Jaleco's 1993 shoot-'em-up Cybattler (Game). It was later ported to arcades using PC (Platform)-based exa-Arcadia hardware. Released on December 28, 2020 as Psyvariar Delta AC, this version supports both vertical and horizontal monitors, with an updated vertical orientation that supports the enhanced UI.
