In Pro Cycling Manager 2014, players take on the role of manager and lead one of the pro cycling circuit's 75 teams.

Overview

In Pro Cycling Manager you take on the role of the Sporting Director of a team of professional cyclists and travel the world to participate in cycling competitions of your choice choosing from over 200 races spread over 550 stages (including the Tour de France).

Your responsibilities include recruitment, rider and staff contracts, negotiations, sponsorship deals, training, and for enrolling your team in suitable races over the year.

Gameplay

The game is played by a point and click micro-management system where you set various elements of each rider in your team. These include overall effort, whether to go alone or sit in the pack, attack, sprint, collect water bottles etc.

Each rider has three bars which govern how much energy your rider has remaining which deplete as the race goes on

Green bar: stamina bar. It empties slowly as effort is expended.
Yellow bar: resistance bar. It empties when effort grows more intense.
Red bar: attack and sprint bar. It decreases rapidly during an attack, a sprint or during highly sustained effort
