Prime Target is a contemporary-fantasy first-person shooter developed and published by MacSoft (Company) for Macintosh computers in 1996. One of the earliest first-person shooters with a political thriller theme, Prime Target tasks a lone hero with solving the mystery of the murder of a friend and U.S. senator in near-future 2004. Much of the game is set throughout key governmental buildings throughout Washington, D.C. Like ZPC (Game) and Damage Incorporated (Game), the game made use of the same game engine as Bungie's Marathon 2: Durandal. It features a non-linear level structure, where players move between levels through exit doors, and includes some live-action FMV cutscenes.
