Overview
Phix: The Adventure, also known as Phix the Adventure and known in Japan as Phix no Daibouken: Phix in the Magnetic World, is a comedic fantasy platformer developed and published by Affect for the PlayStation (Platform) in Japan on May 18, 2000, with its North American release by Agetec on July 15, 2003.
In Phix, players control the small furry creature of the same name as he travels throughout Magnettica World (or "Magnetica") to return a magical orb that he accidentally swallowed. The orb, known as the "Magnia Stone" or "Magnecia Stone") grants him powers of magnetism, allowing him to switch his color-coded polarity in order to interact with magnetic points for traversal. He can also use the orb to attack enemies of opposing polarity, and can "neutralize" his polarity temporarily to avoid unwanted interactions.
It was later digitally re-released by GungHo as a PSone Classics (Concept) title for certain PlayStation Network (Concept) platforms in Japan on May 23, 2018.
