[https:/www.openhv.net OpenHV] recreates the unreleased Hard Vacuum game by taking its 1993 pixel art and creating a real-time strategy game like from that era, but with a few modern twists regarding user interface and effects. The graphical style resembles that of Tyrian, which is by the same artist: Daniel Cook. He put all graphics under a libre license, and OpenHV follows this tradition with source code and other assets. Even the soundtrack by Tim Beek is open content.
