Omega Fighter is a sci-fi vertical-scrolling shoot-'em-up developed and released by UPL Company Limited for arcades in Japan on July 1989, with both a North American release (by American Sammy Corporation (Company)) and European release shortly after.

A traditional shoot-'em-up of the time, Omega Fighter is known for its level structure (which involves traversing a giant enemy mothership) and for its "Range Bonus" scoring system (where players get a point multiplier for destroying enemies based on how close those enemies were, a concept later explored in game series like Psyvariar (Franchise) and Castle of Shikigami (Franchise)).

While the game received no home conversions at the time (although a Sega Genesis port was planned, but was later cancelled), the game later received a digital release on July 26, 2018 on the PlayStation 4 (Platform) and Nintendo Switch (Platform) as part of HAMSTER's Arcade Archives (Franchise) series.
