Overview
Originally released worldwide on Xbox One on December 25, 2019, the game was subsequently released on PS4 and PC on February 18, 2021.
Story
The events of this game are a prequel to those of Ginga Force (Game), which depict the early career of Natsuki (who is a boss battle in that game, but the protagonist here) with the RDF (Rapid Deployment Force).
Gameplay
There are two main modes: an Arcade mode that involves playing through 10 stages in a rapid-fire fashion without the story cutscenes, and Story mode, which is far more fleshed out, both in a narrative and mechanical sense. In the Story mode, there are 3 additional training/flashback stages beyond the core 10.
