Overview

Mr. Driller Aqua is a mobile-only release in the Mr. Driller series. It was released in Japan on feature phones in 2006, then remastered for Android (Platform) devices in South Korea in 2011. The Android version reused assets from Mr. Driller: Drill Land. The story involves Susumu, Anna, and Holinger-Z arriving on a tropical island for a vacation. They witness a news broadcast about sea animals being trapped beneath large blocks. The three of them set out to free the helpless creatures.

Gameplay

Mr. Driller Aqua essentially functions like any entry in the series overall. It offers four different time modes: 300 seconds, 180 seconds, 60 seconds, and endless. New to the series are Air Tanks, which like the other games' Air Capsules restores oxygen, but allow players to restore air for as long as they are touching it, rather than a set amount.
