Overview

Marchen Forest (メルヘンフォーレスト) is a whimsical fantasy role-playing game about a young apothecary in-training named Mylne that begins exploring a mysterious dungeon beneath the forest in which she lives. The game was initially a Unity title released for Android (Platform) devices in December 2015 and was developed solely by Shinano Ishiguro under the name Primary Orbit (Company) [3]. Eventually the game was released on the iTunes Store in 2016 and was ported next year to the PC (Platform), where it was released as a doujin title at the 2017 Summer Comiket [4][5]. Each port of Marchen Forest added more content to the game, eventually leading to a Steam (Concept) release in 2018 which contained new character portraits and was translated into multiple languages. Clouded Leopard Entertainment has also teamed up with Primary Orbit to create a revamped version of Marchen Forest for the PlayStation 4 (Platform), Nintendo Switch (Platform) and PC that was released worldwide in 2021.
