Overview

Loadout is a stylized competitive multiplayer shooter, focusing on weapon and class customization. The Arena mode is for PVP and on PS4, an extra PVE mode: Proving Grounds is accessible.

Weapon crafting

Weapons are built by selecting one of the four bases (rifle, launcher, pulse, or beam) and swapping components like barrels and stocks that will affect the weapon's stats. Most components must be paid for with Blutes, a currency earned by playing the game, but the bases and the first tier of components cost nothing. Weapons can be tested out before purchase on a shooting range full of harmless AI characters, allowing players to get a feel for how the finished weapon will work. This can be done even if the player cannot afford the weapon, though some components must be unlocked before testing or purchase.
