Let's Catch is a motion-based sports game developed by Prope and published digitally by Sega (Company) for the Wii (Platform) (as a WiiWare title) in Japan on December 16, 2008, in North America on June 15, 2009 and in Europe on June 19, 2009.
Released alongside the studio's first retail game Let's Tap, Let's Catch has players playing simple games of catch in first-person using motions on the Wii Remote (Accessory), either with other local players or with a computer-controller partner. Along with Mii support, the game utilizes the Wii Remote's speaker and rumble to simulate the feeling of throwing and catching a baseball.
Single-player only.
The main single-player score-based mode, in which players play catch with a variety of unlockable computer-controlled partners, building friendships with them by completing level objectives (similar to High Score Mode). Along the way, they engage in one-sided conversations with the partner, with several overarching stories hidden throughout the dialogue.
After earning five stars with all eight neighbors, players end up playing catch with a ninth opponent in a bizarre plot twist.
1-2 Players.
Players can play catch with any unlocked partner, or with a second player in split-screen, with no restrictions.
1-2 Players.
A score-based survival mode where players can play catch with any unlocked partner, or with a second player in split-screen, and attempt to get the highest score while clearing each Level's objective (usually reaching a score threshold in a limited amount of throws), avoiding Misses, and not running out of throws.
Single-player only.
A score-less survival mode where players play catch with a variety of partners, with their throws increasing in speed after each successful catch. Like High Score Mode, the game ends after missing three catches.
1-4 Players.
A timed mode where players try to clear all nine boards on their target in the shortest time. In multiplayer, all players play simultaneously with the game played in a fixed third-person perspective, and the first player to clear their target first wins.
1-4 Players.
A four-player last man standing mode where instead of a ball, players take turns throwing a bomb at each-other, which knocks them out if it explodes. The fuse's timer starts at 10 and is reduced by one for Good catches, two for Normal catches, and three for Bad catches, and it explodes automatically on a Miss. Players can use the D-Pad to choose which player to throw to.
