Kingdom Eighties is a side scrolling pixel art strategy game developed by Fury Studios and published by Raw Fury. It is a spin-off of the medieval-themed Kingdom games, with similar gameplay but set in the 1980s.
The game, played from a side-on 2D perspective, involves players building a base and protecting it from monsters that appear from portals at the edge of the stage. Players ride on a BMX bike and drop coins to recruit wandering children, which can then be assigned roles such as archers or builders, and be used to construct structures such as walls and guard towers. The player's interactivity is limited; players cannot attack and can only issue orders by dropping coins. Coins are collected by hunting animals, doing chores at your base, or found in chests in the environment.
The game features a day/night cycle, with players exploring, collecting coins or building or repairing structures during the day, with a wave of monsters attacking the base at night. The game features four chapters; in order to beat a chapter players must build up an army and use their units to destroy the portals, after which they must complete a final task to finish off the chapter.
