A 16-bit adapation of the Merv Griffin general knowledge quiz show Jeopardy! for the SNES and Sega Genesis. While Rare made the original NES adaptation, this Jeopardy! was developed by Park Place Productions (Genesis) and Imagineering (SNES).

Overview

Jeopardy! is an adaptation of the TV game show in which three contestants attempt to demonstrate their trivia knowledge by giving questions that correspond to the general knowledge answers provided. Players can select from a group of categories with cash values that correspond to the question/answer's obscurity, and then gamble what they've earned in the final round. This version of Jeopardy! was published by GameTek for the SNES and Sega Genesis and is not to be confused with Rare's original Jeopardy! for the NES. They would go on to create the enhanced Jeopardy! Deluxe Edition and the specialized Jeopardy! Sports Edition.
