Produced by Activision shortly after losing the BattleTech license, Heavy Gear is a mech simulation game set in Dream Pod 9's Heavy Gear universe. It uses a derivation of the MechWarrior 2: Mercenaries game engine, and features gameplay similar to that of Activision's earlier MechWarrior titles.
