A spiritual successor to the Pocky & Rocky games of the 16-bit era, Heavenly Guardian is a shooter that follows the story of the snow maiden Sayuki in a quest to rid a curse from a human boy she loves.
Overview
Heavenly Guardian is a Japanese mythology-themed top-down shooter released for the Wii (Platform), and later the PS2. The game was originally set to be a direct sequel to Pocky and Rocky, but Starfish (Company) lost the license to the name, and so it was turned into a new IP and spiritual successor instead. The original Japanese title is "Yukinko Dai Senpū: Sayuki to Koyuki no Hiehie Daisōdō." The game was brought to North America by UFO Interactive Games.
