A point-and-click adventure game based on the Adult Swim cartoon of the same name, focusing on the misadventures of superhero-turned-attorney Harvey Birdman.

Overview

Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law is a comedic law-themed point-and-click adventure game developed by High Voltage Software and Williams Street Games and published by Capcom (Company) for the Wii (Platform), PlayStation 2 (Platform), and PlayStation Portable (Platform) on January 8, 2008. Based on the 2001-2007 Adult Swim (Franchise) cartoon sitcom of the same name, Harvey Birdman follows five "cases" of superhero-turned-attorney Harvey Birdman (Character), set in a world populated with classic Hanna-Barbera cartoons. It uses the same animated cartoon style as in the show, with most of the show's voice cast reprising their roles. Similar in-part to Capcom's Ace Attorney (Franchise) series, much of the game is played in a point-and-click adventure style, with players traveling between locations, collecting evidence, and interacting with other characters (sometimes with multiple dialogue options). At different points in the game, players must present a specific evidence from their inventory to prove their assumption. As the game is published by Capcom, it features cameos from characters in the Street Fighter (Franchise) series (whose appearances unlock bonus hidden material).

Cases

  • The Burning Question puts Harvey right into the trial, as he must defend his co-worker Peter Potamus (Character), who is accused of burning down his apartment.
  • Cleaning Crew has Harvey investigating the robbery of his entire office, only to end up trying to defend prime suspects Magilla Gorilla and Secret Squirrel.
  • From Glamour to Slamour has Harvey defending Yakky Doodle from being accused of robbing a bank, only to end up imprisoned for forgetting his attorney's license and end up in a convoluted scheme with Dum Dum and Number Two.
  • Personal Piracy has Harvey defending Peanut from committing copyright infringement, only to get involved in the firm's bizarre cloning and the nature of copyright infringement itself.
  • Two Birds, One Throne has Harvey trying to get accustomed to his rival Blue Falcone as the firm's temporary president, only to get involved in a embezzlement case against him.
